WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS ADVENTURE TRIP :

Be prepared for a hiking trek that will regale your friends for years to come. This adventure is physically challenging, so be sure that you are in shape before booking this trip. Mount Rwenzori, also known as Mount Stanley, is the second highest peak on the African continent and has snow in some places year round.

The Rwenzori Mountains is the second tallest mountain in Africa after mountain Kilimanjaro. This UNESCO world heritage site is also known as the Mountains of the Moon, this snow capped mountain is located along the border of Uganda bordered by Democratic Republic of Congo.

Day 1:- Transfer from Kampala to Kasese town.

Meet and greet the company driver at your hotel, you will be transferred to Kasese town, where you will meet and be briefed about hiking by our field senior hiking guide. He is stationed in Kasese, a town at the base of Rwenzori mountain ranges. Along the way, you will enjoy a warm lunch. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and peaceful overnight Accommodation: TJ Global Hotel and any other hotel as agreed upon (Dinner & Breakfast)

Day 2:- Ascend from  Nyakalengaija (1,615m) To Nyabitaba Hut (2.651m)

After morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for more briefings. The trailhead is at Nyakalengija, 22km from Kasese. Begin by passing through farmland to the park boundary beyond which it follows the Mubuku River, crossing its Muhoma tributary before starting a long steep climb up into a massive ridge. Sleep at: Nyabitaba Hut.

Day 3:- From Nyabitaba Hut To john matte Hut. (3,50m)

Breakfast begin hiking to john matte hut. The trail leads to the Kurt Shafer Bridge which crosses the mubuku valley just below the river’s confluence with the Bujuku valley. After a five-hour trek is the start of the giant lobelia and groundsel zone, a vegetable type limited to East Africa’s highest mountain.Sleep at: John  Matte Hut.

Day 4:- From John matte hut to Bujuku Hut (3,962m)

Continue route fords the Bujuku River as you cross the lower Bigo bog. in clear weather you can a clear view of Mount Stanley.

After a long climb, the trail reaches the lovely lake Bujuku, Sleep at Bujuku  hut

Day 5:- Bujuku Hut to Kitandara Hut (4,023m)

Breakfast and then begin an early morning main trail which continues up a steep scree slope over Scott Elliot pass, the highest point on the circuit. it provides fabulous views back down the Bujuku valley and of Mt. ey and Baker towering above. Sleep at: Kintandara hut

Day 6:- Kitandara Hut to Nyakalengija. This takes about 4 hours.

Breakfast and then descend from kintadara to Nyabitaba Hut. The route descends the cliffs of Kichuchu. Beyond Kichuchu the muddy path crosses the Mubuku River twice before climbing upwards to Nyabitaba to complete the circuit. Sleep at: Nyabitaba Hut.

Day 7:- Descend down; meet the driver- Transfer back to Kasese town.

This day you will descend down, to the base of the Rwenzori mount ranges. Later proceed to Kampala. END.
